Here in the green hills, on the border of Piedmont and Liguria, we offer tranquility, space, and comfort. Just a short drive from the charming Flower Riviera and with a top wine region as its backdrop, Tenuta Squaneto serves as an ideal base for a variety of excursions.
Both regions are renowned for their culinary offerings. Liguria is known for its Mediterranean specialties, delicious olive oil, and world-famous pesto. Piedmont is the birthplace of the Slow Food movement, emphasizing the use of fresh local products and serving as a counterpoint to the fast-food culture. Piedmont is also famous for Barolo, the king of Italian wines, and the delicate white truffle from Alba.
But, of course, we don’t need to tell you this as a gourmet.
First , let us introduce ourselves...
We are Pieter and Barbara Witschge, and together with our children Dionne and Jesper, we settled here in the beautiful Monferrato in 2005. After completing our hotel school education, we have been continuously working in the tourism sector since the early '90s. We have poured all our accumulated experience, combined with our passion for cooking and fine wines, into Tenuta Squaneto.

The babbling stream around the campsite, the chirping crickets, and the constant gentle breeze guarantee an optimal Mediterranean vacation experience. Located at over 400 meters above sea level, the refreshing nighttime temperatures are perfect for a well-deserved rest.

From a spacious 25-meter pool with a huge toddler lagoon to our beach volleyball court, our playgrounds, table tennis tables, boccia court (jeu de boules), and foosball provide endless fun. The endless, partly wooded hills, small streams, and impressive variety of flowers, plants, and their tiny inhabitants were already here.
