Welcome at Tenuta Squaneto

The Mediterranean Sea and the Flower Riviera. The perfect setting for a day trip.

liguria

Liguria is a coastal region in northwestern Italy, the third smallest of the Italian regions. It borders France to the west, Piedmont to the north, and Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany to the east.

The city of Genoa (Genova) marks the boundary between the Riviera di Ponente on the north side and the Riviera di Levante with the Cinque Terre on the south side.

Genoa, the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, is beautifully situated on the Mediterranean Sea and is built like an amphitheater against the slopes of the Ligurian Alps. It is the largest port city in Italy and the capital of Liguria. The city features wide streets interspersed with steep, narrow alleyways. The broad avenues are among the widest streets in Italy. You will find old parks and a stunning medieval old town within the city. The typical atmosphere that characterizes a port city has lingered in Genoa over the years, and a visit to the old harbor is highly recommended. Additionally, the city is home to many attractions such as museums, art galleries, and beautiful cathedrals. Be sure to visit the old cathedral of San Lorenzo. For children, the sea aquarium is a must!

Endless panoramas!

Walking or cycling, you'll never run out of things to see.

Savona is the nearest larger city and the capital of the Riviera delle Palme. The port often hosts large Mediterranean cruise ships, and the many fish restaurants quickly sell their fresh catch to the tourists who come ashore. Other charming seaside towns along the Riviera delle Palme include Varazze with its brand-new marina, Celle, Noli, and Spottorno.

The cuisine of Liguria is renowned for its seafood specialties, but it is the pesto Genovese that is world-famous. A local specialty in Savona and the surrounding area is farinata, a type of thick pancake made from water and chickpea flour that is baked in a wood oven. This farinata can be customized with various flavorings such as rosemary, onion, cheese, and more, just like a regular pancake. Naturally, Ligurian cuisine makes extensive use of the delicious olive oil that is abundantly pressed in this region!

You'll experience La Dolce Vita here at its purest!
